Council Meeting – 16th March 1900

The Sixty Fifth Meeting of the Parish Council held at the School Room, Great Longstone
on Friday March 16th 1900.

Present:
Mr W. R. Pitt Dixon, Chairman of the Meeting
Messrs Coe, Spanton & Shimwell (Clerk).

Mr Dixon was unanimously elected Chairman.

The Minutes were then read and confirmed.

Telegraph Office

The Clerk produced a Draft of Agreement between this Council and the Postmaster General to guarantee the payment of one half the deficiency not exceeding £12. The same was approved by the Council.

Annual Assembly

It was decided to hold the Annual Assembly of the Parish Meeting on Monday the 26th inst.
