Good discussion on the potential use of the old school house that has come onto the market for rental at an annual rent of £5,100 per annum. Although restricted to F1 use. Class F1 covers uses that are considered vital for community infrastructure, education, and public service, uses within this class include, Schools and other educational institutions, public libraries or public reading rooms, Museums and art galleries (for display, not sale), Places of worship or religious instruction (churches, mosques, synagogues, etc.), Public halls or exhibition halls, Law courtsDiscussion around a Man Shed as a potential, with shared use for some existing LEAP activities. This would entail a change of class to F2 for which planning permission may be required, however, we believe that there is flexibility within Class F (F1 & F2) that would make the process relatively easy.
Agreed that we issue an email to those on the circulation list to see what support there would be for a Man Shed and to see how many people would be prepared to underwrite the first year – suggestion for 20 @ £255 each.
