  4. Communication and Engagement Strategy

    • General Questionnaire

      As of today, 79 responses against approximately 670 residents / 350 households
      Agreed to delay the closing date until 15th February to allow more responses
      Agreed to ask for a front-page article in UTE – Action AD to request. SKC to produce the article
      Posters to put around the village

20 copies of the blank survey to produce for Village Shop and Church (AD to obtain from Mad for Ink)
Flyers to produce for the school to allow children to take them home

    Presentations to arrange

  • Village Meeting

    Agreed to hold this on Wednesday 25th February, arrange an interim meeting on Monday 16th February to discuss the results of the Village Survey, SKC to have the results for discussion. Village Hall to book (AD)

  • Engagement calendar updated.
  1. Old School Room

    Agreed that “Maker Space” would be a better title, but recognise that there is potential grant funding for a Men’s Shed.

    Circa 20 expressions of interest – some specifically for a Men’s Shed, a few are general support.

    Small Group willing to progress next steps, Frank Hammond / William Cole / Sam Lewis / Alexa Masterson Jones / Sean Kelleher-Clarke
    Legal entity to sort out, Grants to investigate, Terms of reference to draw up

  2. Workgroup Reports – At some point will need to establish which elements fall into the Neighbourhood Plan and others to be picked up in a “Area Village Plan”.
    • Business & Tourism – Members – Richard, Jeremy & Sam

      No update

    • Housing – Members – Frank & Deborah
      Some potential movement reported from the Diocese in respect of other options for the old vicarage.
    • Climate Mitigation and Renewable Energy – Members – Jonathan, Sam & Andy

      No update outside of the Energy Workshop

    • Land Management and Nature Recovery– Members – Sara & Alexa

      Next meeting to arrange with farmers, general discussion around the options for restricting overnight parking on Moor Lane (which appear limited).

    • Transport – Members – Georgina & Andy

      East Midland Mayor’s Survey is progressing regarding buses.
      Waiting for the Village Survey results on parking and footpaths which are expected to throw up some issues that will need consideration.
      We need to counter PDNPA view that parking is not an issue in the Longstone Area.
