Council Meeting – 29th August 1903

Eighty seventh Meeting of the Parish Council
held in the School-room Great Longstone
on August 29th 1903.

Present Rev. G. Andrew (Chairman)
Messrs Dixon, Spanton and Thornhill, and Shimwell (Clerk)

The Minutes of the last Meeting were read and confirmed.

Assistant Overseer

On the recommendation of the Overseers Mr Dixon proposed and Mr Thornhill seconded that the sum of £2..10..0 be voted to the Assistant Overseer for collecting the Special Sanitary Rate made on the 18th day of June 1903.

Appointment of School Manager

Mr Dixon proposed and Mr Thornhill seconded that Mr W. H. Wright be appointed representative Manager of the Longstone National School.
