Forty-sixth meeting of the Parish Council held in the School Room, Great Longstone,
on Thursday, June 30th, 1898.
Present:
Mr S. Johnson, Chairman.
Messrs Joseph Johnson, H. A. Spanton, P. J. Furness, W. R. Pilling Dixon, and C. H. Buzzard, Clerk.
The minutes of the last meeting were read and confirmed.
Proposed by Mr Spanton and seconded by Mr Dixon that the Clerk write to the Local Government Board to obtain their sanction for payment of £5 to Mr Shimwell for extra work and expenses in connection with the Arbitration Trial, Parish Council v. G. T. Wright, re Gilder Stone Quarry.
Proposed by Mr P. J. Furness and seconded by Mr J. Johnson that the Clerk write to the Chairman of the Parish Meeting of Little Longstone to ask them to pay a share of the £5 voted to Mr Shimwell re Gilder Stone Quarry.
Proposed by Mr H. A. Spanton and seconded by Mr P. J. Furness that the Clerk write to Mr Wright asking for payment of the Rent owing to the Parish for the Hurbage of Gilder Quarry and arrears.
