Council Meeting 28th September 1909

One hundred and twentieth meeting of the Parish Council
held in the Schoolroom Great Longstone
on the 28ᵗʰ September 1909.

Fire Extinguishing Appliance

The Clerk was instructed to send a vote of thanks to the Midland Railway Co for their donation of £12 towards the cost of purchasing a Fire Extinguishing Appliance.

Educational Lectures

In consequence of being too late in sending an application for a course of lectures on Veterinary Work before Xmas the Education Committee had replied stating that they would consider the application for a course to be given after Xmas.

Valuation List

Mr Eyre proposed and Mr Bridge seconded that the sum of £1 be paid to the Asst Overseer for rearranging and writing two copies of the Valuation List.

Mr Orr proposed and Mr Eyre seconded that the sum of £5 be paid to the Asst Overseer for collecting the Special Sanitary Rate made on the 17ᵗʰ of June 1909.
