Sixty-seventh meeting of Parish Council held on April 14th 1900
in the School Room, Great Longstone.

Present: Mr H. A. Spanton (Chairman)
Messrs Coe, Orr, Ward & the Clerk.

The Minutes of the last meeting were read and confirmed.

This being the Annual Meeting of the Parish Council for election of Chairman, it was proposed by Mr Orr and seconded by Mr Coe that Rev. G. Andrew be the Chairman of the Council for the ensuing year. Carried unanimously.

It was proposed by Mr Ward and seconded by Mr Coe that Mr H. A. Spanton be Vice-Chairman of the Council for the ensuing year. Carried unanimously.

Messrs Ward & Spanton reported that they had inspected Cracken Jennell and employed Mr Jasper Johnston to repair the same at 3/- per load of gravel. Their action was unanimously endorsed by the Council.

They further reported that the buildings on each side required launders to keep the water from draining from the roofs on to the path.

The Clerk was instructed to write to Mr Eyre asking him to put launders on his buildings.

Messrs Orr & Spanton were elected Overseers of the Poor for the Parish.
