GREAT LONGSTONE PARISH COUNCIL
MINUTES OF THE ANNUAL PARISH MEETING ON WEDNESDAY 9TH MAY 2018
Present: Cllr Wendy Long (Chair), Cllr Peter Thompson (Vice Chair), Cllr James Cox, Cllr Phil Barrett, Sarah Stokes (Clerk) and UTE.
The Chair opened the meeting at 7pm.
1. Apologies for absence.
Apologies were received from Cllr Caroline Briggs, Cllr John Shimwell and Cllr Judith Twigg.
2. Minutes of the Annual Parish Meeting Wednesday 10th May 2018.
The minutes were proposed by Cllr Long and seconded by Cllr Cox
3. Chairs report.
The Chairs report highlighted the following:
- football field inspection and applications for grants to improve drainage;
- tennis court not being used to its full potential;
- defibrillators machines and signage all in situe;
- snow clearance thank you’s;
- looking into improving the drainage on the allotments;
- the intention to close the Monsal Head toilets and supporting the surrounding communities;
- thanks to the Clerk who ‘keeps us all in line and operating within the regulations’;
- new GDPR regulations with the Council implementing the changes;
- thank you to mowing contractors;
- also thank you to fellow Councillors for their unpaid commitment to the village.
4. Persons on the electoral roll. Matters to raise.
There were no persons present at the meeting, other than UTE. No matters raised.
The meeting was closed at 7.06pm
