Council Meeting – 28th September 1908

One hundred and thirteenth meeting of the Parish Council
held in the School-room Great Longstone

The minutes of the last meeting were read and confirmed

Wrights Charity

Mr Eyre informed the meeting that the appointment of Trustees of the Wrights Charity, made by the late Parish Council, could not be rescinded. Mr Orr therefore withdrew his proposition.

Gilder Quarry

It was proposed by Mr Orr, and seconded by Mr Skidmore that the Clerk request Mr Wright to meet the Parish Council at the Gilder Quarry, to inspect the proposed reconstruction of the road leading to his land, and also to come to some decision as to the ownership of the fences.

Assistant Overseer

On the recommendation of the Overseers, it was proposed by Mr Orr, and seconded by Mr Skidmore that the sum of £5 be paid to the Asst. Overseer for collecting the Special Sanitary Rate made on the 12ᵗʰ day of June 1908.
