Seventy sixth Meeting of the Parish Council held
on November 21st 1901
in the Schoolroom Great Longstone.

Present: Rev. G. Andrew (Chairman)
Messrs Coe, Spanton, Dixon, Ward & Orr & J. Shimwell (Clerk)

The Minutes of the last meeting were read and confirmed.

Messrs Orr & Ward signed the declarations of acceptance of Office as Parish Councillors.

Proposed by Mr Orr and seconded by Mr Spanton that a Precept be drawn on the Overseers for £6 to be paid on November 22nd 1901.

Telegraph Office

A Statement having been received of an account between the Postmaster General and this Council in respect of the guaranteed Telegraph Office, showing a deficiency for the year ending Sept. 11th 1901 of £3..11..4, half of which was due from this Council. A cheque was therefore drawn in favour of the Postmaster General for £1..15..8.

Station Lane

Mr Dixon proposed that Mr Hawley the Rural District Council Surveyor be written to, asking him to have the ditch near the Station cleared out.

Fernyhough Yard & Footpath

A cheque was drawn in favour of Mr Jasper Johnson for £2..8..0 in payment of his account for carting & spreading 16 loads of gravel on Fernyhough Yard & Footpath at 3/- per load.
