The Clerk stated that he had written to Mr Andrew and the Charity Commissioners respecting charities but had not received any information from them

Holme Meal Charity

A proposal to redeem the yearly payment in respect of the Holme Meal Charity had been received from His Grace the Duke of Devonshire, but as the Parish Council were not in possession of a copy of the Charity, it was resolved that the matter be adjourned until a copy could be obtained, and the Clerk was instructed to reply accordingly.

Owing to a portion of this Charity being paid yearly from this Council to the Churchwardens of Bakewell it was decided that they be written to, asking if they consent to the proposal, and whether they have had any communication on the matter

Signed
A. W. J. Eyre
Chairman
