One hundred and fourth Meeting of the Parish Council
held in the School-room Great Longstone
on the 16th of April 1907

Present
Mr J. Bridge, Mr W. Orr, Mr A. J. Skidmore, Mr J. Wager and J. Shimwell (Clerk)

The Clerk explained that at the last meeting the Council decided that the Chairman sign the minutes of the meeting held on the 28th of March owing to all the members having to retire.

The minutes of the last meeting were then read

All the members present signed the declaration of acceptance of office as Parish Councillors

Chairman

It was proposed by Mr Orr and seconded by Mr Skidmore that Mr Eyre be elected Chairman of the Parish Council for the ensuing year, carried unanimously

Mr Skidmore proposed and Mr Orr seconded that Mr Bridge be elected Vice-Chairman, carried unanimously

Mr Eyre being away from home sent a message expressing his regret at being unable to attend

Mr Bridge occupied the chair

Appointment of Overseers

Mr Orr proposed and Mr Wager seconded that
Mr H. A. Spanton be appointed overseer of the Poor for the ensuing year — carried unanimously

Mr Skidmore proposed and Mr Orr seconded that
Mr J. Wager be appointed overseer of the Poor for the ensuing year — carried unanimously

Mr Wager proposed and Mr Orr seconded that
Mr J. Bridge be appointed overseer of the Poor for the ensuing year — carried unanimously

Village Pump

It was resolved that the Clerk be instructed to write to the Rural District Council asking them to have the pump near the White Lion Inn put in repair as it is used largely for watering cattle.
