The Minutes of the last Meeting were read and confirmed

Bridle Road

A letter was read from Mr Mackintosh in which he consented to comply with this Council’s request by having the gates on the Buskey Bridle Road properly hung and fastened

Transfer of Holme

Mr Hawes replied to this Councils inquiry respecting compensation for loss of Holme stating that he was not aware of the case mentioned, but referred to the case of Caterham and Godstone whereby it was decided that the Rural District Council of Godstone was not entitled to compensation for the transfer of a portion of their area to the Caterham Urban District

Fire Apparatus

The courses to be adopted for acquiring a Fire extinguishing apparatus were supplied by Mr Hawes but owing to the present Councillors term of Office having almost expired it was decided not to take any step in the matter.

Assistant Overseer

On the recommendation of the Overseer Mr Andrew proposed and Mr Thornhill seconded that the sum of £5 be voted to the Asst Overseer for collecting the Special Sanitary Rate dated 24th Novr 1906

School Manager

Mr Andrew proposed and Mr Dixon seconded that Mr Thornhill be appointed representative manager of the Longstone National School for a period of three years to expire 31st March 1910

Footpath

A cheque for 11/- was signed in payment of Mr A. Wagers account for gravelling Fernyheugh footpath

Expenses

A cheque for £1.7.7 was drawn in favour of J. Shimwell for the following expenses, viz:

A. Hawes Election expenses – 10/8
6 Meetings in School-room – 6/0
Audit stamp – 5/0
Stationery – 3/11
Postages – 1/6
One years rent of Notice Board – -/6

Total = £1-7-7
