Village Plan – 7th April 2025

Neighbourhood Plan Meeting – 7pm on Monday 7th April 2025

The next meeting working towards starting the process for creating a Neighbourhood (or Village) Plan will be at 7pm on Monday 7th April, in Great Longstone Village Hall.

All residents of Great Longstone, Little Longstone, Rowland and Hassop are invited.

The meeting will be attended by Ellie Faulder and Adele Metcalfe, from the Peak District National Park Authority, and they will provide a PDNPA overview of the Neighbourhood Planning process and try to answer all your questions based on their experience and knowledge of the process.

The aims for this next meeting will include grouping the issues that we have already raised into related workstreams, confirming an interim steering committee, and maybe discussing workstream leads. The aim is that steering committee would also have a representative from each of the hamlets that will be part of the plan. We have also received a few more expressions of interest in joining a steering committee, many thanks for this.

We have the Great Longstone Annual Parish Meeting on 30th April and it would be great to have an agreed plan for presentation to this event.
