Apologies were received from Councillors Casey and Hirst.
District Councillor Crowther also sent her apologies

The Council resolved to approve the Minutes
146.99 Matters arising from the minutes
There were no matters arising from the minutes
147.99 Backdale Quarry update
The position remains unchanged
148.99 Planning matters
To Consider:
- Extensions and alterations to dwelling and demolition of garage, Gt Longstone Garage, Main Street Gt Longstone – The Council resolved to convene a site meeting as soon as convenient and to consider matters further thereafter.
- Erection of a Conservatory 1 Glebe Ct, Glebe Avenue, Gt Longstone – The Council resolved to raise no objections
To Note Approval
- Erection of Garden Shed, 1 Glebe Ct, Glebe Avenue, Gt Longstone
- Change of Use, Castcliffe Barn, Long Lane, Wardlow
The Council noted the approvals

To Note bank balances
The Council noted the balance on the Current Account of £1,000 and on the Deposit Account of £6,865.06

The Council resolved to approve the payments
150.99 Village Hall
The Village Hall is to be redecorated soon and protective mouldings have been applied to the walls to prevent damage caused by the chairs and tables
151.99 Playground Equipment
Councillor’s Fawcett and Cox are to urgently speak to Mr Long in the hope that the work on the slide can be expedited
152.99 Village Cross
The work has now been completed
153.99 Millennium Celebrations
The Council resolved to hold a Sports Day and Social Event to which all the Village will be invited. The date will be set at the next meeting. The Council resolved to form a Committee of Councillors to make the practical arrangements and to report to the full Council Meetings on a monthly basis
154.99 Allotment Land
The Clerk reported that the Land will be acquired by the end of the week. The Council discussed a plan prepared by the Peak Park as an example of the Landscaping schemes possible. The Council resolved to meet on site to discuss matters further.
155.99 Maintenance
The Council noted that a Street light on Station Road is still faulty and that the curbstones at various locations have still not been repaired. The Clerk is to press for repairs to be carried out as soon as possible.
156.99 New Noticeboard
The Council resolved to accept the quotation from Mr EA Longden and to instruct him to carry out the work as soon as possible.
157.99 Glass Recycling Scheme
The Site is ready for the DDDC to carry out the programme of works
158.99 Great Longstone Business Park
There were no matters reported for discussion
