Longstone Area Neighbourhood Plan

A series of consultations and meetings, that started during the summer of 2024, resulted in a well attended meeting on the evening of 7th April 2025, at which there was general agreement by residents of the Civil Parishes of Great Longstone and Little Longstone to work together to produce the Longstone Area Neighbourhood Plan.

The next stage was to form a Steering Committee and the volunteers for this meet in the village hall on Mon 28th April. This group elected a Chair, Secretary, Treasurer and Communications Officer and agreed “Terms of Reference“. This document was then approved by both Great Longstone Parish Council, which is the sponsoring body, and Little Longstone Parish Meetings, on 14th May 2025.
